“The Great Chocolate Chase” is about a chocolate shop as you might guess. It’s advisable that you are a chocolate person to play this game, otherwise you’ll be sick for sure! Too much chocolate everywhere!
This fun and easy-to-play game turns you into a very busy chocolate shop owner, trying to keep your customers happy, and that could get way more difficult than it sounds. People keep coming for their orders. Once you get their orders they want it to go fast. Then, they want the bill! Everything has to be made fast and correctly, otherwise the customers will be mad and won’t tip you well. Chocolates will come in different flavors and shapes and have different ingredients and toppings. You have six stations to prepare the orders:
- Sauce station: orders from the sauce station are the easiest, but you’ll have to wait for it to refill before you can deliver another.
- Flavors: The color of the chocolate will tell you if it’s Dark, Milk, or White chocolate. Match the color of the chocolate to the button of the mixing station.
- Shapes: the chocolate press can mold chocolates into one of three different shapes.
- Ingredients: the colored stripes on a chocolate will tell you what ingredients you may need to include.
- Toppings: toppings include everything from cashews to coconut.
- Infusions: round chocolates with a hole in the center. Match the color inside the hole to the button on the infusions station.
When you first enter the game, you’ll see the welcome screen with the following options:
- Choose player: the first time there’s no existing player. After you create one or more, they’ll be saved. When you enter into this submenu, you’ll be asked for a name as a new player. It’s possible to have a list of different players and record their performance. This way, you can play home tournaments with family and friends.
- Story mode: this is one of the two modes for playing the game. This option recreates a story in which you end up serving clients on the chocolate shop.
- Endless sweets: this is the other mode for playing the game. As its name suggest, you go right to your shift which will never end.
- Sweet rewards: contains chocolates that serve as trophies for all of your accomplishments in the game.
- Options: this is the menu from which you can set some game options like: sound volume, music volume, mute, tutorials, and full screen.
- Help: this option leads you to a card-style help which teach you how to play.
- High Scores: to see the highest records.
- Quit: no further explanation required.
When you’re playing the game, you can always click on the Menu button to access to a pop-up menu with these options:
- Resume: to finish the current game.
- Map: to see the game map.
- Options: the same Options menu commented before.
- Restart: to start all over again.
- Quit: to go back to the welcome screen
